Hinge formed 'The Bay - Delivering with Devolution' in order to meet the changing
and surging demands of public affairs and that of devolution in Wales.
As director, he is committed to keeping a client base that is both small and
select and at the same time also determined to deliver with a discreet bespoke
service that will offer the very best for clients and their own future aspirations.
To help deliver this, the 'Welsh Assembly', is only one of three governments
worldwide that has a legal requirement to 'sustainable development' and this is
seen very much as an engine-room for future success of all clients.
'The Bay - Delivering with Devolution', therefore fits well into this philosophy.
Prior to the formation of the company, Mark worked successfully in Welsh devolved
political, economic and rural development issues and has also over 20 years extensive
prior experience with overseas governments, local government, and within the government
structures of Westminster and Whitehall.
He has operated through all forms of public affairs overseas, and lived and worked
for many years in Italy, USA, Middle-east and Japan, he has dealt with sensitive
political issues that impact upon economic development and commerce.
Specifically to Wales, he has worked on community action programmes, entrepreneurship
action plans, mass market events, rural & urban economic recovery, micro and
macro business services, economic development, spatial planning and policy.
This has been delivered through all mediums of public affairs in both the public
and private sectors together with enhancing commercial activity in both urban
and rural regeneration. Additionally, he has been the architect of government
strategies that will benefit diverse communities in Wales.
An enthusiastic linguist and re-learning the Welsh language, he is a member
of the Welsh Assembly Government's Rural Partnership Forum for Wales.
